A grandma visit

My Grandma Lee came to visit me and help my mom too.  She lives in Seattle.  It might rain even more there than it does here - that's amazing.

I can't wait for the rest of my grandparents to come visit me - they are coming very soon!

Here are some of the things that I did with my Grandma Lee.

Grandma was very excited to meet me.

We compared hands.  I still have some growing to do!

The first thing I did was show off my best wiggling
moves to quickly get her back into practice of
holding squirming wee babies

Darn, I didn't get too far with my squirming plans.
She's pretty good at this baby stuff.

Here is my grandma holding me.
Note, she is not responsible for the wardrobe choice for me
(the pants up to my armpits. . . my mom says these are very comfortable for me. . . oh dear)

Here are some photos of my grandma, mom and me
(while the photo was being taken, I was trying to figure out
what my dad was doing. . .
apparently he was photographing us)

My grandma brought me a very special quilt that
she made for me, based on the book
Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?.
Isn't it beautiful? I can't decide if I want to first
play on it or cozy up in it.

My grandma likes to take walks.
We took a walk together at Hampton Court,
a palace of Henry VIII. The gardens were beautiful,
but when I came out of the stroller, I liked looking
at the sky the best.

The kids in my grandma's class made me a welcome book -
with drawings and messages just for me!

In the one below, my dad and I are hanging out on a hammock,
while my mom is relaxing on an air mattress in a pool.
My mom says she really likes the idea of that!

The note below includes the standard 'welcome baby' imagery,
including ants riding on fighter planes
and operating machine guns.  There are also
some worms involved in the action.

Here I am in my sling, in my warm bear outfit.

Video: A little video of grandma and Izzy
(Izzy makes a lot of curious noises.
Here's a video after a morning of quite a variety of noises emanating from her!)
